BOMCO is the largest manufacturer of mud pumps in the world in categories and quantities. BOMCO has developed triplex series and quintuple series mud pumps ranging from 500HP to 3000HP. The series products include F500~F2200 series normal mud pump, F1600HL/F2200HL series high pressure mud pump, F1800~F12200H series light weight mud pump, QDP-3000 quintuple high pressure mud pump and pump unit, and permanent magnet motor direct drive pump and pump unit.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
v The max pressure for F500, F800, F1000 pump is 34.5MPa (5000PSI). These pumps are small, light and reliable. They are the best choices for shallow well and mid-deep well drilling rigs.
v The max pressure for F1300/1600, F22000 pump is 34.5MPa (5000PSI). These pumps are the best choices for mid-deep well and deep well drilling rigs due to its large displacement and high reliability.
v The max pump pressure for F1600HL and F22000HL pump is 34.5MPa (5000PSI), and the max displacement can reach 51.85L/S and 77.65L/S respectively. It is the best choice for deep well, super deep well, large displacements horizontal well, high pressure jetbit drilling, off-shore platform and other drilling rigs.
v The F1 series light weight pump is a new product. Under approximately equivalent power, displacement, pump pressure, and other basic conditions, the pump weight is 20% to 25% lighter than same model of F series. Meanwhile, all fluid end parts are forgings with outstanding quality. This pump is used when size and weight of drilling rigs are highly demanding, such as offshore platform drill rigs.
v QDP-3000 drilling pump is the largest power of quintuple drilling pump and pump package. The max pressure is 51.7MPa (7500PSI), and the largest displacement is 76.34L/S. The largest displacement under the max pump pressure reaches 55.08L/S, and the max pressure under the largest displacement is 27.0MPa, making it better than similar products. Without pulsation dampener, the displacement and pressure fluctuation of this quintuple pump is only about one third of triplex pump. The fluctuations are much less when pulsation dampener is installed. The pump package is inspired by ideas of modular and skid-mounted design, giving it reasonable layout, smooth operation, high transmission efficiency and reliability. This pump is particularly suitable for offshore platform purpose.
v Permanent magnet motor direct drive pump and pump package possess qualities of small volume, light weight, simple and reliable transmission, and high efficiency. It is a new energy saving product, and also one of the developing patterns for future drilling pump products.
The power end assembly mainly consists of frame, crankshaft, pinion shaft, extension rod, and crosshead, etc.
THE CHARACTERISTICS OF POWER END
v Continuous tooth herringbone gear;
v Replaceable crosshead guides;
v Frame fabricated with welded steel plate provides the optimum rigidity, high strength and light weight.
v Double sealing structure for extension rod provides good sealing;
v Power end utilizes the combination lubricating system of forced lubrication and splashing lubrication.

FLUID END
The fluid end mainly consists of cylinders, discharge pipe, pulsation dampener, valve assembly, liners and pistons.
v Each sealing part adopts rigidity compaction, which has good high pressure tightness;
v Vertical fluid end features good suction performance;
v L fluid end features high pressure resistance, convenient for replacing the valve assembly;
v Discharge desurger, shear relief valve and discharge strainer are fitted at the discharge outlet;
v The fluid ends of F-1300 and F-1600 mud pump are interchangeable.
SPRAYING SYSTEM
This system mainly consists of spraying pump, cooling water tank and spraying pipe. The function is to cool and wash the liner and piston or plunger so as to improve their service life.
The centrifugal spraying pump can be driven by a belt sheave mounted on the pinion end or by a separate motor. Medium for cooling and lubricating is water or JH-1 water-based lubricant and refrigerant.
The spraying pipe is mounted on the coupling between extension rod and piston rod and reciprocates with piston. Nozzles are adjacent to piston end so lubricating-cooling fluid can wash the contact surface of pistons and liners all the time. Also, the fixed spraying pipe can be used.
LUBRICATING SYSTEM
The power end employs integrated methods of forced lubrication and splash lubrication. Forced lubrication includes internal type and external type. The external type independent lubrication system is not influenced by the stroke of the pump, which is of high reliability. The working conditions of gear oil pump can be observed by oil pressure gauge.
CHARGING SYSTEM
To avoid air lock at pump inlet under lower pressure, each set of mud pump can be fitted with a charging system. It consists of charging pump with base, butterfly valve, and manifold. The charging pump is driven by a separate motor and is mounted on the suction manifold of mud pump. It can also be driven by the driving shaft of the mud pump via belt to reduce the power consumption.
